Spring Training

We love going to spring training games because we always have so much fun. We were so busy and had so much going on that we weren't sure if we were going to make it this year but then it worked out for us to go the last day of Spring Training. There are lots of teams down here but Rick always wants to go see the Dodgers because Joe Torre is the head coach and Don Mattingly is the batting coach.(Both are old Yankees) They played the San Fransico Giants. It was perfect weather and a good game.

The boys checking out all the action when we first got there.

After a while they were running all over the place like wild animals, so to the relief of everyone sitting by us, we didn't stay for the whole game. :)

The boys in front of the field. Logans face is behind those sunglasses. The reason they are so big on him is because he insisted on wearing MINE.

The funniest thing that happened at the game was the outfielder for the Giants caught a ball that Manny Ramirez (the favorite on the Dodgers) hit and then turned and threw it up in crowd right where we were sitting. Rick didn't see him throw it so I yelled "there it is!" He turned around and saw everyone scrambling for it, so his primal instincts kicked in and he literally dove right into the crowd and started fighting everyone for it. He eventually was able to get a hand on it and pretty soon it was him and this old lady wrestling for the ball. He was fully extended on the ground trying to snatch the ball and she was yelling "It's mine!, It's mine!" Eventually after a grueling match she broke free with the ball. Rick came back all disheveled, his hair everywhere and grass stains all over his clothes. He looked a mess. I think when he saw me laughing hysterically he realized what he had done and was quite embarrased for his actions. He said his instincts kicked in and it was like survival of the fittest. He said he acted without thinking. Well when he got back Tyler was upset because he wanted to know where the ball was and how come he didn't get the ball. The lady felt bad for the kids and came over and Insisted that we take it. So we came home with a ball that Manny Ramirez hit and everyone was happy. I haven't laughed that hard in a long time.

Update

I haven't posted any pictures on my blog for a long time because I have been really bad about taking pictures lately. Nothing too exciting has been going on here. Just the same old everyday stuff. I can't even think of an exciting title for this post. I just have a bunch of random pictures on my camera so this will be a very random post.

Logan and his good buddy Will riding bikes together.

Tyler and Logi taking a stroll one morning.

I walk out of the kitchen for two seconds and Logi gets on his stool, grabs the bowl with the brownie batter in it, and starts helping himself.

The boys intently watching a movie during our campout/movie night in our living room. Movie nights are always great but when we put our little pop up tent in the living room the boys think it is the greatest thing in the world.

The boys guarding the front door so that "no bad guys" could come in.

Me and the boys relaxing after church one sunday watching a movie together

The boys all dressed up for stake conference

Logan the reindeer

We took the boys bowling and of course they loved it

Logi shocked us all when we turned around and saw that he was carrying his own ball. Just look at that concentration.

Logan all worn out and catching up on his sleep.

Whoo. That seemed like a long post. Life has been good here. In the next couple of weeks we are looking forward to some spring training games, the easter pageant, and 80 degree weather.:)
