Random Pictures

I have not been good about taking pictures lately. Going through my camera though I did find some summer pictures that never made it on my blog. So here is a little recap in no particular order.

Tyler LOVES Darth Vador. I came home one day to find Tyler dressed like this. Rick had made this costume for him out of a ski mask, one of Ricks long sleeved black shirts, and a toy light sabor. Rick kept playing the Darth Vador theme song on the computer over and over again and Tyler would march around the house dressed like this. You could tell he felt pretty cool!

Carson loves to ride these little bikes and loves it even more when one of his brothers rides with him!

What's up Doc?

A BBQ in the park one night with some friends.  Rick and Logi had fun playing a little catch

The kids thought this was the FUNNEST thing ever!  I was just glad it wasn't my white sheet. I'm pretty sure after this activity those grass stains were never going to come out.

Macaroni and Cheese gone wrong! This was one of the first times he was eating it and he couldn't get it in his mouth fast enough. He ended up picking up the whole bowl to try and shovel it in his mouth but he ended up dumping it all down his head instead!

Ricks dad came out for a visit back in July when Rick got his new calling. The boys always love when Grandpa comes!

Tyler and Logan can sometimes be very sweet with each other.

Brothers!

Getting buried in blankets

Bath time! They LOVE baths. I always have to drag them out when they are starting to look too wrinkly.

Rico turned the big 3-0 at the end of September! Happy Bday to him! He entered a new decade so I guess he is getting old. :) I think Rick and I still think of ourselves to be our early 20s but I suppose we need to convince ourselves that that is not really the case anymore.

The boys are lucky to have such a fun loving daddy.

This kid fell asleep on the couch with his gogurt still in his mouth.

Little cheeseball. He seriously has the biggest teeth I have ever seen on a baby. They are huge for such a little mouth. His baby teeth are almost as big as my permanent teeth.

These two love to sit on the couch first thing in the morning and drink their milk together.

Every time I turn around this kid is on the table. He loves it up there. He is constantly climbing up the chairs and climbing onto the table.  It is his favorite place to be.

Love this cute face!

Stole his brothers hot dog right off his plate. Didn't even bother to take the bun too.

We got to watch some friends of ours kids one night and they all had fun having a big movie night!

I stole this picture off of my friend Charbel's blog. Me with some girls from the ward after the R.S. Broadcast. We all decided to go out to dinner afterwards at Claim Jumper. It was lots of fun!

Go Cardinals!

Are You Ready For Some Footbaaaaaaaall!
We are! Football season is here and we are excited at our house, especially Rick. We went to a Cardinals preseason game last week with some friends of ours from the ward. They played the Denver Broncos. We of course got the cheapest tickets we could find so we sat way up high in the corner but we had a blast. It was a great time!

Our family in front of the stadium. Our kids had so much fun! They loved all the action at the stadium and they loved to dance to all the loud music that was played during the game.

Trying to get a family shot in our seats. We root for the Cardinals because we live here but Rick wants everyone to know that his true heart still lies with the NY Giants!

Logan Turns Three!

Our little Logi Bear just celebrated his 3rd birthday! He is so cute and getting so big. He has a smile that lights up his whole face and these great big brown eyes that you can't help but love this cute little boy. We celebrated with a fun filled day that started with birthday doughnuts for breakfast, a trip to the library, Mcdonalds for lunch, a trip to Chuck E Cheese to play a few games (courtesy of Rick so I could get the house ready for the party), and then the finale was his party. He had a full day and I think he loved all the attention he got all day. I think he felt special and that is what we wanted.

Eating the birthday doughnuts bright and early. Our boys wake up at 6 so kudos to Rick for waking up extra early to go get the doughnuts.

He was really excited to open his presents that morning.

Tyler was more than happy to help Logan open his present from him. What else would Tyler pick out to give to someone besides a transformer.

The Toys R Us by our house was having a huge moving sale and everything had to go. Toys went waaaaay cheap. If you were brave enough to fight the crowds, they were worse than black friday, you could get some pretty good deals.

The crew at the party, minus one little boy who was too busy playing to come sit at the table.I normally don't do a friend party for a 3 year old but ever since Tylers bday party Logan has been talking about his party. I didn't want him to feel any less special than Tyler so we threw him a little party. I think he loved all the attention.

I love how at all kid parties the kids are all right on top of the one opening the presents.:)

Blowing out his candles. It took him three trys to blow out three candles. It was cute :)

The birthday boy loved his Mickey Mouse cupcakes.

We love our Logi Bear!

1st week of Kindergarten

Tyler had such a fun time his first week of kindergarten! He would come home each day and tell me all kinds of stuff he had learned. He learned a lot about different shapes and their lines and angles. The thing that shocked me the most was when he came home on Friday and told me that a diamond is also called a rhombus. Seriously?! I'm pretty sure I was in like 7th grade geometry before I ever heard of a rhombus! Any way he kept looking so cute every morning before school so I kept taking pictures and pretty soon I had a whole weeks worth.
Tyler can be so funny, especially in front of the camera. He kept looking at these pictures telling me that these are his "cool poses"
When I picked him up on Friday he was wearing this crown. It says "I survived my 1st week of Kindergarten" He was very proud of it!

Tylers first class picture. I thought it was so cute. His teacher emailed it to all the parents on Friday. "We Made It!!" We survived our first week of Kindergarten!

Kindergarten!

The much anticipated/dreaded day finally came yesterday. Tyler started Kindergarten! We are all so excited for him and this new adventure but sad that he is growing up too fast! We were fortunate to get Tyler into a really great school that just happens to be right down the street from our house. The school is so popular and so great in fact that it is almost impossible to get your kids into. My friends and I had to camp out over night in front of the school the night before the waiting list opened up just to get our kids in. Call us crazy but there were lots of other parents there doing the same thing. It was well worth it though to get our kids into such a good school.
Being crazy showing off his new clothes! So excited to finally have his first day of school.

His spider man pose. Shooting his webs.

Finally a normal pose

Tyler and his friend Regan outside their school. They didn't plan to dress the same but chances of that happening are good because they have a pretty strict dress code at the school. Solid red, white, or blue collared tops and plain navy blue or khaki shorts or pants. That made school clothes shopping really easy.

Tyler with his teacher Mrs. Gullette. She seems really sweet and patient with the kids and we have heard really great things about her! We are really excited that Tyler got in her class.

Tyler sitting at his desk. I can't believe how big he is. I hope he has a great year!

Birthday Boy!

I know two posts in one week is a new record for me, but we've had a lot going on. This big guy celebrated his FIRST birthday!

I'm not sure he knew what was going on but I think he enjoyed all the attention from everyone.

He opened a few presents!

Ate some cake. He took his cake very seriously. Just look at the intensity on his face. He picked the whole thing up and loved every bite!

We LOVE our Carson! He really is the sweetest most easy going baby. We all have so much fun with him and are so happy that he is part of our family.

Summer Vacation

Well, we just got back from spending two and a half weeks up in Idaho. It was such a fun summer vacation! It was nice to escape the heat in Phoenix and enjoy the beautiful summer weather up in Idaho and of course we LOVED spending so much time with family.

We drove through Utah on our way up to Idaho so of course we had to stop at Cherry Hill. I have so many fun memories of Cherry Hill when I was growing up so I am determined that my kids will have those same memories. They loved it!

Four of the most handsome boys there!

This is serioulsy the sweetest little boy you will ever meet.

Tyler and Logan couldn't get enough of playing in the balls at Hamster Haven. They LOVED it!

We all got our game on with a friendly round of miniature golf.

Once we got up to Idaho we started our fourth of July weekend with the traditional neighborhood firework show.

Here's some of us lighting off some roman candles.

The fourth of July is always so much fun in Idaho Falls. We were glad we were able to be there! Here we all were anxioulsy waiting for the parade to start.

So what did we do at Grandpa's house for the next 2 weeks?

Some bubble time with Grandpa

A lot of picnics in the backyard

A whole lot of popscicles
A little bit of ice cream. Logan was really enjoying his.

Lots and Lots and Lots of time on the swings. They would stay there all day as long as someone was willing to push them.
Carson was as patient as ever with his brothers.

The boys kept wanting to go and visit Grandma up at the cemetery. They still talk about her all the time, especially Tyler. We sure do miss her. Her big headstone is getting put in in a couple of weeks, so we will have to wait until Christmas time to see it.

We all attended church at the good ol' Lincoln 2nd Ward

I love my Tyler!

A whole lot of silly times with the cousins.

A trip to Tauphaus Park

Tyler and I riding the ferris wheel

Smiling for the camera

And what would a trip to Idaho be without a cookout up at Stoddards.
Carson loved the great outdoors of Idaho

We tried to enjoy our vacation as much as possible because we knew we were coming home to some exciting new changes in the bishopric of our Phoenix ward.

Our new bishopric. That's the new bishop sitting there in the middle. Yes, Rick is the new bishop. We love the Lord and we will serve where we are called. We have some exciting and challenging times ahead of us as a family, but we are grateful for the opportunities and blessings of serving in the gospel.
