Update

Allright, well nothing too exciting is going on here. When a couple of weeks go by and I haven't posted anything I start to feel pressure, almost like I need to create a situation just so I can have something to blog about.:) (does anyone else feel this way?) All I have are some random pictures that we have taken over the past couple of weeks.

We enjoyed March Madness. Rick and I made brackets and thought it would be fun to do a little friendly competition against each other. I lost on purpose to boost Ricks self esteem, no not really, but I did lose. One night we went and walked around Westgate where they have a giant outdoor screen that you can watch the games on. There are lots of people and it is fun to cheer for the teams while you all watch the game on the screen.

The fam watching the game

Rick and the boys enjoying a milkshake after the game. As you can see Tyler was enjoying it the most.

Logan has been getting around really well and as a result has been getting into everything. He moves around pretty quick and he also has "good hand control" as Rick would say. Rick is very excited about this and is convinced that Logan is going to follow after his dad and be an amazing wrestler. :)

One day Logan pulled himself up to the table and chairs and was watching me in the kitchen. When I turned around a second later he was gone. I went over to the table and found him playing underneath it. He had walked along the chairs and was having a really good time under there.

Smiling when I found him

Lately in the morning I have been waking up to the sound of laughter and jumping up and down. Tyler thinks it is hilarious to climb into Logans crib when he first wakes up. I wake up to either laughing if Logan is awake and Tyler is playing nice or I wake up to crying if Tyler lands on Logan when he climbs into the crib. This is how I found them one morning. Don't ask me what they are looking at, that wall has nothing on it.

Tyler and Logan both LOVE this little car. The trick is getting them to take turns while playing with it. One day I solved the problem by putting them both on it and they both loved that. You wouldn't know it from this picture but they did. I love the looks on their faces like "Mom do we really have to sit and pose for this picture"

Rick and the boys looked especially cute one morning before church. Thought I would take a picture to share with you.

And that's a little update on our family

Crawling (Watch out!)

Over the past few days it seems like Logan has grown by leaps and bounds. He has started crawling(watch out!) and he is figuring out how to get around pretty good. If I thought my life was hard before this, he really keeps me on my toes now. He moves all over the floor and tries his best to keep up with Tyler. You can tell that Logan can't wait until he can run around and play with his big brother. He not only crawls but he also started pulling himself up to things and then just stands there. It has been really fun to watch him grow and learn new things. I finally figured out how to get a video on Blogger so below is a video of him learning how to crawl.

His favorite place to pull himself up and stand is the couch. Everytime I turn around he is standing there.

He always seems so proud once he finally gets himself up and then he just looks at you like he has no clue what to do next. He isn't sure how to get down so he usually just stands there until his legs give out and he just falls over. He crys for a second and then he gets back up and tries it again. You just have to love those chubby little legs!

Spring Training

Spring Training for baseball is going on right now in phoenix and it is exciting and fun! There are 13 Major League Baseball teams that have their winter homes down here. We thought we would take advantage of the nice weather (mid 70's) and go and watch the Los Angeles Dodgers play the Texas Rangers. You can get really cheap tickets and just sit on the lawn and watch the game. We had good seats. There were two home runs, one on each side of us and then as we were leaving the game there was a home run right where we were sitting. We had just left that spot of all the luck. Rick says if we had been there that there is no doubt in his mind he would have had it for sure. I just smiled and told him "sure you would dear". :) We had a lot of fun even though I will admit that it is very hard to get into the game when you have to watch a 2 1/2 year old who wants to run everywhere and a 6 month old who was rolling all over the grass. Needless to say we didn't make it through the entire game before it was time for us to go. Here are a few pictures from the game.

You gotta love Tylers face in this picture. We were just happy he was even looking at the camera.

Tyler showing his excitement for the game.

Logan looks thrilled to be there as well. He sure looked cute though in his baseball cap and his little nike's. (remember those shoes Melissa?)

You can't go to a MLB game and not get a hot dog to eat. Hot dogs and baseball just go together don't they? Anyway even Tyler ate his so they must have been good.

At first glance this picture might look like we took it of the short stops rear end. But actually we were taking a picture of the batter Manny Ramirez. He just got resigned and this game was his debut(is that how you spell that word?) He seemed to be the crowd favorite.

Six months!

Logan is already 6 months old! I can't believe it. Time really has flown by. Logan has been so much fun to have in our family. He is a very happy baby most of the time and almost always has a smile for you. He loves bottles, being held, his jumper, playing on a blanket with toys (basically rolling around on the ground and trying as hard as he can to crawl which he is very close to doing by the way, YIKES), his carseat, and he loves Tyler. He always smiles and laughs hardest when Tyler is around. Everywhere we go, the grocery store, bank, church, or wherever Logan has a smile for anyone and everyone. We really do love him and think he is such a blessing to our family.

Now that I am 6 months old mom is finally giving me some solid foods. This is me eating carrots for the first time. They sure were yummy!

Best Buds!

When Grandpa comes to visit

This past week we have had Ricks dad visiting us from New York and his brother Ryan visiting us from Northern Idaho. We always like to have family around and it is so nice to have a change from the same old everyday routine. Rick had a lot of fun with his family doing everything from playing tennis, 4-wheeling, pizzeria bianco(this really yummy pizza place that you have to wait in line for hours to get a table and they don't do take out and it was featured on Oprah. They described it like the Seinfeld episode with the soup nazi. Once they finally got in they didn't want to do anything wrong or upset anyone, they just wanted their pizza. The results were good. They said the pizza was really good and worth the wait), tempe town lake, and lots of good food (not cooked by me of course but from good restaurants).. We didn't get pictures of everything, okay we hardly got any, but we did get some. Here are just a few pictures we took from our fun week.

Here is Rick, Tyler and Ricks dad at Tempe town lake.

Tyler at the lake

Tyler playing in the sand. There is a really nice park, Tempe Beach Park, by the lake. The weather was perfect and we all had a fun time.

Rick and I at the lake. Doesn't that look like an engagement picture? We look a little different from our actual engagement picture. I guess that is what 4 years of marriage and two kids does to you. :)

Grandpa and Logan sure had a fun time together.

A picture of our family. Here we are the last night of grandpa being here. This was taken right before bed and that is why we are all in our pajamas except for Rick.

We were also able to celebrate Valentines Day while Ricks dad was here. This year Rick surprised me with two tickets to a Phoenix Coyotes Hockey game AND babysitters for the kids. You know what that means, we actually went on a date all by ourselves! This is rare and doesn't happen very often at all because we don't have any family close by to babysit for us. It was so much fun and we had a great time. They played the Calgary Flames and they actually got killed but it was still a fun atmosphere to be in. It was a great surprise. Thanks Rico.

If you follow the NHL at all you know that the Phoenix Coyotes really are not very good. Our only claim to fame is that Wayne Gretzky is not only their owner but also their head coach. You would think with "the great one" as your coach you would have a better record. Oh well maybe next year. The first picture is a picture of Wayne Gretzky(the one standing behind the players in the middle) and the other picture is just one of the game.

A Fun Change

All right, I have been thinking about getting my ears pierced for a long time now so Friday night I decided to quit thinking about it and just do it. I always see people wearing these cute earrings and it looks like fun so I decided to try it. When we went to the counter the workers thought we were there to get Logans ears pierced. I guess they thought he was a girl (which happens a lot by the way) They were surprised when we said that it was me wanting my ears pierced. I guess most girls my age already have their ears pierced or something. Anyways it will be fun to have change even if it is a small one. I have to wear these starter earrings for 6 weeks and then I can switch them out with others. I am excited for something different and think it will be fun.

Me picking out some earrings

Me getting my ears pierced. All I felt was a little pinch. I didn't even know she had done it. We figured the girl at the mall that did it was qualified because she had about 10 earrings on each ear, one in her nose, and one on her eyebrow. With all that experience she must know what she is doing, right? :)
