Halloween!

We had a fun halloween this year. The boys had a blast! How could they not with all the candy! This year for Halloween Tyler wanted to be Bumblebee the Transformer.

He kept asking me where the button was that turned him into a car. He really thought that he would be able to turn into a car when he put the costume on.

Logi dressed up as a dinosaur, he thinks he was a dragon though. Either way he was very cute!

The final products. If you are wondering what that short skinny thing is, it is a gourd. It's a long story but the bottom line is that Tyler insisted on getting a gourd this year instead of a pumpkin. It was the first time I have ever carved a gourd!

Tyler and his new best friend. I have no idea who this kid is, I have never seen him before but for some reason he was at our ward trunk or treat and obviously had the same costume as Tyler. Tyler thought that was so cool that there were two bumblebees. Tyler hasn't stopped talking about his new friend ever since.

Halloween Farm

We went to a farm/pumpkin patch this year and had a really fun time. I just have a bunch of random pics from some of the activities. Our family, minus Carson, being fruits and veggies. Carson was content in the stroller so we didn't want to disrupt that.


Tylers favorite part of the whole farm was this little train ride. They loved it!

The boys also LOVED the big boxes of corn to play in. Tyler was laying down doing snow angels. They could have played in there for hours.

If you notice in that last picture Tyler is holding his gourd. Out of all the hundreds of pumpkins to choose from Tyler insisted on getting a gourd. Go figure!

We had a great time and I was able to meet up with an old friend of mine from high school, Linsey. It was so fun to see her and meet her family. Can't wait to get together again!

Everyday Life

I really need to keep more updated on my blog. Carson is growing and changing so fast that some of my pictures seem outdated after only a few weeks. We really haven't been up to too much. Just everyday life.

The kid LOVES his Bumbo. And I LOVE that he LOVES his bumbo. It is the only way that I am ever able to get ready in the morning or make dinner at night.




We also had a birthday a few weeks ago. Rick celebrated his last birthday in his twenty's. We splurged and I took him to Ruth's Chris. We had heard a lot about it and Rick had always wanted to eat there.


The food was seriously sooooo good. The steak was seasoned just right and literally melted in your mouth. Delicious! (the sign to the restaurant was bright and didn't make for a very good pic)

And then of course Tyler and Logan are just as crazy as ever.

These two turkeys thought it was absolutely hilarious when I closed the shower curtain on them while they were in the bathtub. They laughed forever!

The boys have these little lacrosse sticks. They like to lean over the couch and pretend that they are fishing with fishing nets. Pretty clever.

Tyler and Logan wanted to have a sleep over on the floor in their room one night. I checked on them before I went to bed and found them like this. Sleeping peacefully surrounded by a mess of toys.

This was them first thing in the morning. It cracks me up how Logan always sits right next to Tyler even though there is a lot of other couch he could sit on. He is Tylers little shadow.

Our TLC. It wasn't planned that our kids initials would spell TLC, but it is kinda fun that it worked out that way. And it is definetly true that they do all require A LOT of tender love and care.

Ricks dad came out for another visit. The boys love having visitors come stay with us. We spent one of the days at the train park. The boys love to ride the train! We are looking forward to many more trips to the park now that the weather is cooling down and we are FINALLY getting into our nice seasons!

Today at church we blessed Carson. He looked so cute in his little white suit. Rick did a really nice job with the blessing and Carson was wide awake but quiet through the whole thing. This was the first kid we didn't have any family here to stand in the circle. We just kept it small and simple. It was a good day.

Our attempt at a family picture. Easier said then done. This isn't a very good picture but it was after a long, hot day and no naps!

One Long Month

Well, it has been so long since I have blogged I don't even know where to start. The past month has been a bit overwhelming with a lot going on. Obviously the first thing to happen was Carson being born. Adjusting to a new baby is definetly overwhelming in and of itself. A week after he was born, my mom passed away after a long hard battle with cancer. We went up to Idaho to be with family and for the funeral. It was like being with two extremes. Being with my baby who was just starting his life and then being with my mom who had just ended hers.

Here is a picture of my amazing mother. I always thought she was very pretty. She was a great example to me of strength and courage and patience. She never complained and I never saw her get angry. I honestly could not have asked for a better mom and I was always so proud that she was my mom. She is very loved and I miss her everyday. I find comfort in the fact that I know that she is in a happier place now and that I will see her again someday.

One thing about a funeral is that you get to see a lot of family and friends that you haven't seen for a while. Here we are with a lot of the cousins from my moms side of the family.


Below are just some random pics from our house from the past month that I am finally getting around to posting.

This pic is a little blurry but this is how the boys looked when they came to visit me in the hospital. All the nurses and doctors smiled when they saw these two walking through the hospital. They kept looking at Logan and saying that he was too little to be a big brother.

Here is a pic of Carson working on his tan. :) He had jaundice so he had to go under the bili blanket for a couple of days.

Here is Carson at one week. His binki covers half of his face. We are just thrilled that he takes a binki since our other two never did.

Our TLC. (Tyler, Logan, and Carson). I am really starting to feel out numbered by all these boys around here. I still can't believe that they are all mine. I don't feel old enough to have three kids and a mini van.

I can't hardly put Carson down because every time I do the other two boys are all over him. They are always wanting to hold him and give him kisses. Carson is still warming up to his loud, crazy brothers.


We also had some visitors come down to Phoenix

Rick got a new calling at church and had to be ordained to a high priest. His dad and brother Rob came out from back East to do the ordination. It was a quick trip, they were only here for the weekend but we were glad they could come. This is a pic of Rick with his dad.

So because we have had a new baby, a death in the family, and visitors come to our house, our lives have been pretty busy. Hopefully things will calm down a little bit now and we can try and get back to normal, whatever that is.
